***Block out periods may restrict, invalidate or reject a booking, during or after a vehicle is booked. We reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend a reservation that may be made for any special, offer, coupon, discount, or promotion at any time.

***Peak seasons, Summer Months, November 20 through December 3, December 15 through  January 6, Easter week, week prior to Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July week, week prior to Labor day weekend,  holidays, holiday weekends, are considered and examples of block out periods.

Renters must present a current and valid driver’s license, a major credit or major debit card, and proof of current auto liability insurance when picking up your rental. All drivers must hold a driver’s license and insurance that is valid for the entire duration of the rental term. All  documents must be in the renters’ name. In some cases, you may also be asked to present a supplemental form of a government-issued photo ID or your passport.
You must present your current and valid driver license when picking up the rental car, it must remain valid for the duration of the rental. Copies, faxes, pictures of a license, learner’s permits are not acceptable. You can use a California interim driver license along with a government issued picture ID. The International Driving Permit serves only as a translation, it will not be accepted in lieu of a driver license.
We have three different mileage programs available to you.

  1. Pay Per Mile ( great plan for limited local driving )
  2. Preferred Rate (125 free daily miles included)
  3. Unlimited Mileage, for when you plan a road trip outside the local area or driving a long distance in a short period of time.

Pick the one that best fits your usage.

We only accept debit cards that are associated with major banks. Prepaid or loadable types of cards will not be accepted regardless of the issuing institution. The account must be open for at least one year, and you must have an available minimum balance of $400 (as security deposit) plus the cost of the rental at the time of pick up.
You’ll need to present all required qualifications. In addition there is  an underage fee, daily charge is $18 for ages between the age of 18 – 21, and $10 for ages between 22-24.
You may travel throughout California, Nevada and Arizona only with prior written authorization on the Unlimited Mileage plan only.
We allow one additional driver free of charge, a third will cost $6.00 per day.

Most reservations are accepted outside of 48 hours prior to your pick up time. If you need a vehicle within 48 hours to your pick up time please call it’s a good idea to first call to check availability.

Keep your confirmation number handy.

All reservations are prepaid.

 

Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms for your prepaid reservation carefully.  Cancellation and No-show charges may reduce refunds for prepaid reservations.  Once the vehicle is rented there are no refunds or credits for unused rental days.

CANCELLATION AND MISSED RESERVATION POLICY REFUND AMOUNT
Cancelling up to 48 hours prior to scheduled pickup time You will receive a full refund.
Cancelling within 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled time of pick up You will receive a refund of your prepaid amount, minus a $150 cancellation fee. If your prepaid amount is less than $150 no refund will be issued.
Cancelling within 24 hours prior to scheduled pick up time, No show, or failure to pick up your vehicle. No refunds are issued.
Rental is picked up but returned early. No refunds are issued.
  • At the time of rental, we require a hold amount of $300 USD for credit and debit cards.
  • Prepaid Debit/Gift cards are not acceptable methods to retain your rental. 699RentACar only accepts Prepaid Debit/Gift cards at time of return.
  • Upon returning the vehicle, 699RentACar will process a release of the unused portion of the hold subject to your bank’s procedure. This hold may take up to two weeks to be released by your bank.
  • If you have already paid towards your rental using a debit card, we will reverse any hold initially placed when the rental is over. The bank, however, may take time to post it back to your account. While this hold is in place, the funds will not be available for your use.

Free customer pick-up and drop off within a 3 mile radius. Please call ahead with any questions you may have at least 2 hours prior to your pick up or drop off time, and to check for availability of service.
At the time of rental a pre-authorization will be drawn, this will place a hold on the funds from your account in the amount that is being pre-authorized. Please make sure you have sufficient credit or funds available (when using a debit card). If you are presenting a debit card for the retention of your rental, your bank will process a pre-authorization one of three different ways:

  1. Your account may be debited, another words, the hold amount may be withdrawn from your account.
  2. Your account may be blocked, you’ll be able to see the funds in your account, however not have access to the amount held.
  3. Your bank will release the hold the same day it was placed, however the pre-authorization will remain open and available for 28 days .

We can not predict how your bank will process this transaction, please inquire directly with your banking institution for this information.

This security deposit is not to be used towards the payment of your rental, during your rental, it may only be used at the completion of your rental.

If your rental exceeds 28 days, your original authorization will be captured on the third or fourth weeks billing cycle depending on the day you picked up your vehicle. This will generate a credit balance on your rental which will then be refunded to you upon return of the vehicle and completion of your rental. We can not reauthorize cards on extended rentals. If within the first 4 weeks of your rental, the rental charges are declined by your bank, the security deposit will then be captured as well and additional fees may apply.

Check your paper work to determine the proper return fuel level and time.

Please return your rental clean inside and out to avoid cleaning fees.

Upon return, one of the members of our staff will greet you, take your keys, inspect the vehicle and prepare your closing statement.

When returning vehicles at locations other than the rental offices or after business hours will, you’ll remain responsible for the rental until such time the vehicle is checked in by an agent.

You may choose to pay your closing balance with any form of acceptable payment.

You are able to pick up after hours 7 days a week until 8pm daily, with advance notice and arrangements. You can drop off your rental 24/7 at the Van Nuys Office, the Hollywood office does not allow for after hour services. call or ask your agent for details. There is a fee for after hours services.
Convenient delivery and collection service of your rental vehicle is available to returning customers or on special case by case scenario made with prior arrangements. Not available to first time renters, restrictions apply, please call ahead at least 2 hours prior to your delivery or pick up time.

You may have your rental delivered or collected at your home, office, hotel or airport.

LAX returns are dropped in parking lot “E”.

Minimum fee is $35 or $1.50 per mile whichever is greater per event.

There’s a $35 fee to drop off your rental to another 699RentACar rental location.
Every driver/renter must comply with the state’s required financial responsibility laws.

We accept personal auto and non-owner auto liability policies or third party protection policies.

Accepted as well are travel insurance policies that extend their coverage to rental cars, such as:

  • Allianztravelinsurance .com (they will cover same day of pick up, and cheaper annual policies)
  • insuremyrentalcar.com (purchase with at least one day prior to your pick up date, cheapest short term rate).

At 699 Rent a Car, accessible from 699carrental.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by 699 Rent a Car and how we use it.

Log Files

699 Rent a Car follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Advertising Partners Privacy Policies

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on 699 Rent a Car, which are sent directly to users’ browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that 699 Rent a Car has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Third Party Privacy Policies

699 Rent a Car’s Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Children’s Information

699 Rent a Car does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
